Christina Haack was conceived in Anaheim, California. Her first job was in the field of real estate following her graduation from high school. This is how she met her husband Tarek El Moussa. They were very successful through 2008, but then the market plummeted and many house flippers and real estate investors went bankrupt. Due to the financial crisis, Tarek and Christina El Moussa almost lost all their assets. The couple went from a $6,000 monthly home to a $700/month apartment. Their business, and the economy in general, slowly rebounded. HGTV as well as Rise to Fame Tarek in 2011 requested a colleague to help him create an HGTV tape which showed Christina and her flipping through a home from beginning to end. Pie Town Productions' executives were able to access the tape. The execs loved Tarek and Christina. The couple officially signed a contract with HGTV in 2012. Flip of Flop premiered April 2013 Over seven seasons between 2013 and 2017, the series ran 92 episodes. The show's characters, Christina and Tarek would purchase properties, usually middle-income houses in Orange County, and would later spend a few weeks making upgrades so they could sell the home for an income. Tarek focuses more on renovation as well as demolition, while Christina is the one in charge of designing. The two also make sure that everything is in order.
