Cynthia Ann Crawford (born February 20 1965) is an American model, actress and television personality. She was a supermodel, and a popular figure on magazines' covers, runways, and fashion shows in the 1980s and 1990s. Later, she ventured into acting and also started a business. In her sophomore year at high school, she was contacted by a call from a local retailer for modeling jobs which she later discovered was a trick played by two students. Crawford was one of the high school girls recruited by another store who also had a fashion shoot. Roger Legel (a local photographer) approached Crawford during her junior year of high school to photograph her. The task included shooting with Crawford for the magazine. [9] She was encouraged to pursue modeling by the positive comments and pictures she received. She started with an agency that was small. Elite Model Management bought it soon after she signed. When she was 17 years old, she was a participant in Elite's Look of the Year contest and was able to make it to the finals at national level.
